2030, Arctic will lost

NEW YORK - Global warming continues to occur predicted would eliminate a layer of sea ice in the Arctic, north pole in 2030. The researchers said the ice in the Arctic dwindling from year to year.

Telegraph, on Thursday (16/09/2010) launch last week, in late spring and summer ice melt approximately 1.84 million square miles. It was based on data the University of Colorado's National Snow and Ice Data Center.

"This is the third time in the satellite record in which the ice melts very spacious location in the last four years," the report said.

Meanwhile, data on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) show in August 2010 the ice-covered area decreased approximately 22 percent compared with 1979 to 2000. August 2010 is the worst period of the melting of ice in the Arctic since 1979. Previous NOAA recorded the largest ice melting occurred in September 2007 in which the ice melts covering 1.595 million square miles.

According to the Director of the National Snow and Ice Data Center Mark Serreze, like the world as a whole, heating and rapid heating. "We're starting to see the sea ice melts on a large scale, the trend of shrinking ice cover continues," said Serreze.

"We think that in 2030 or so, if you go to the North Pole on the first day of September, you probably will not see the ice at all," said Serreze. (Ugo)
